The reference liquid tributyrin — ≥98% ester content with no carrier dilution. Odorless and non-corrosive, it meters straight into premix or liquid feed lines and survives pelleting to release butyrate along the intestine.
Tributyrin is the glycerol ester of butyric acid. Unlike free butyric acid, tributyrin is odorless, non-corrosive and thermostable, and it passes through the stomach intact. Gut lipases then release butyrate gradually along the small and large intestine — delivering butyrate exactly where it drives gut function.
The gut microbiome, the intestinal immune system and feed conversion ratio (FCR) are the key drivers of profitability in livestock production. They share one important signaling factor: short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), of which butyrate is the primary molecule driving gut function. The site, duration and density of butyrate release are the three signals that matter — and tributyrin covers all three.
